Flood warning for the Condamine Balonne

THE Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for the Balonne River.

River level rises are occurring along the river between Warkon and Surat.

The river at Warkon is currently at 6.36 metres and rising and is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7m).

The minor flood levels are expected to continue at Surat today.

The river at Surat is currently 4.9 metres and rising.

It is expected to remain around the minor flood level (5m), with a minor flood peak likely during the weekend.

The rises follow heavy rainfall that occurred across parts of the catchment area in the past week.

Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
