Three things to do around the region this week

1. Annual rugby league carnival

THE DIRRANBANDI community rugby league carnival is back again this year and is set to be bigger than ever, with up to $5000 in prizemoney on offer.

The Southwest Queensland Emus will host the carnival on the Dirranbandi State School Oval, with enough capacity for only eight teams.

There are 20 players per team, with only 10 non-indigenous players as a maximum per team.

First prize is $5000, second is $2000 and third will win $1000.

The first game kicks off at 8.30am, don’t miss a great day of footy.
